About the role
UPS is hiring a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure within the Google Cloud ecosystem. The role focuses on ingesting, transforming, and loading data into data warehouses and knowledge graphs, leveraging services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Composer, Spanner, Dataproc, and Azure Cloud Services. Candidates will develop and optimize data pipelines, implement data quality and governance practices, and collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams. Responsibilities include creating robust pipelines, managing cloud data stacks, engineering knowledge graphs in Neo4j and Stardog, ensuring data accuracy, monitoring performance, and documenting solutions. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative field, 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, strong hands‑on experience with GCP data services, proficiency in Python, SQL, relational data modeling, version control (Git), application support, and Terraform or other IaC tools. Preferred qualifications include experience with additional GCP services, streaming data technologies like Kafka and Dataflow streaming, data governance tools, and GCP data engineering certifications. UPS offers a full‑time, on‑site opportunity in India, with a focus on data-driven insights and enterprise knowledge graph development.
