About the role
Data Engineering team at Caterpillar builds scalable data pipelines and warehousing solutions on AWS. The role designs, develops, and maintains data pipelines, optimizes Snowflake warehouses, and collaborates with data scientists and analysts. Chennai, India and Bangalore, India, onsite five days a week, relocation available.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop scalable AWS data pipelines
- Build and tune Snowflake data warehouses
- Write reusable Python/SQL transformation code
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders
- Monitor and improve pipeline performance
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security
- Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What you’ll bring
- 5-8 years data engineering experience
- Strong hands‑on AWS experience
- Deep Snowflake expertise
- Advanced Python and SQL skills
- Graph and vector database knowledge
- CI/CD pipeline development (GitHub Actions)
- Azure DevOps backlog management
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Engineering
