About the role

Amazon Advertising team builds a conversational AI assistant, SpektrBot, that lets data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders query the advertising data lake via natural language. The SDE II designs, builds, and scales backend services, RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, and feedback loops that power this AI platform. Bengaluru, India, On-site, hybrid schedule with occasional remote days.

What you’ll do

• Design and build scalable services for SpektrBot's conversational AI platform
• Engineer retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and vector stores
• Integrate and operationalize large language models with prompt management and model routing
• Develop automated evaluation and feedback loops for response accuracy
• Create SQL generation and validation pipelines from natural language intents
• Build tooling for metadata auto‑curation using LLMs
• Collaborate with applied scientists to productionize NLP/NLU models
• Own end‑to‑end system deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years professional software development
• 2+ years design or architecture experience
• 1+ years large-scale distributed systems development in C#, C++, Java or Perl
• 1+ years object oriented design

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
