About the role
Quest Global is seeking a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, to deliver advanced finite element analysis and structural assessments for complex engineering systems. Day-to-day work includes FE meshing of complex structures, setting up and running linear/non-linear static, thermal, modal, and fatigue analyses in ANSYS, performing bolted joint and strength assessments, validating results, and presenting findings to stakeholders. The role requires a Mechanical engineering graduate/postgraduate with 3–6 years of hands-on FEA experience using ANSYS (Workbench & APDL) and UG NX modeling tools.
What you’ll do
- Perform FE meshing of complex structures using 1D, 2D, and 3D elements
- Perform model set-up including material, boundary condition, load, and contact application in ANSYS
- Perform static thermal, structural, and modal analyses
- Perform bolted joint assessment with reduced order and 3D modeling approaches
- Perform fatigue (LCF and HCF) analysis
- Validate results and document the assessment along with results summary and conclusion
- Participate in internal and external reviews and present the assessment to stakeholders
- Perform tasks in a timely manner with high quality
What you’ll bring
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 3 to 6 years of experience in finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS (Workbench & APDL)
- Proficient in FE meshing of complex structures using 1D, 2D, and 3D elements
- At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience creating hexahedral, tetrahedral, and combined meshes with transition in ANSYS/NX CAE
- Perform model set-up including material, boundary condition, load, and contact application in ANSYS
- Good understanding and experience in linear and non-linear modeling
- Perform static thermal, structural, and modal analyses
- Working experience in UG NX modeling; model clean-up and modification using Spaceclaim or Design Modeller is a must
