RCSA Consultant

About the role

The RCSA Consultant role sits within Northern Trust's 1LOD Risk and Resiliency department, providing governance and oversight for Risk Control Self-Assessments across business segments such as Asset Servicing, NTAM, the COO, and Corporate functions. Day-to-day work involves managing RCSA programs for specific units, coordinating stakeholder workshops, documenting risks and controls, challenging assessment integrity, escalating issues, coordinating with First and Second Lines of Defense, and delivering management reporting. The role is based in Bangalore or Pune, India, and is a full-time position.

What you’ll do

• Manage the RCSA program for specific business units, ensuring adherence to framework requirements and committed deadlines
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and ensure their participation in workshops for accurate risk and control assessment
• Document risks and controls discussed in workshops and in the system of record
• Escalate RCSA project-related matters to the relevant manager
• Challenge risk and control assessments to ensure integrity adheres to program requirements
• Coordinate with partners in First and Second Lines of Defense to manage issues arising from RCSA or testing for timely resolution
• Provide management reporting on all areas related to RCSA
• Proactively identify areas of improvement within the program and initiate discussion with the manager

• Experience in Risk/Control/Audit
• Strong communication skills for interacting with partners at all levels
• Excellent writing skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and collaborate with others
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Experience using Microsoft 365 packages (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI) and SharePoint
• 24 months of experience as a Technical Coordinator/Associate Consultant (for internal applications)
