About the role

Process team at Wood in Chennai, India focuses on delivering safe, efficient offshore oil & gas processing solutions. The Senior Principal Engineer leads FPSO process design, oversees PFDs, P&IDs, simulations and safety studies, and mentors a multidisciplinary engineering team. On-site role in Chennai with full-time employment, relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Lead process design for FPSO topsides including separation, compression, treatment and storage systems
• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, heat & material balances, and simulation models (HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UniSim)
• Act as technical authority, review and approve engineering deliverables, provide optimization solutions
• Ensure compliance with API, ISO, IEC, ASME, NORSOK, DNV, ABS standards and lead HAZID/HAZOP/SIL studies
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interface with mechanical, electrical, structural disciplines and vendors
• Support proposals, cost estimation, scope definition and client presentations
• Lead and mentor process engineers, conduct technical reviews and training sessions

Education

Bachelor’s / master’s degree in chemical engineering
