Senior Business Analyst

About the role

Global Payments is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join its payments technology team in Pune, India, working remotely. The role analyzes business requests and designs automated systems to support credit, debit, prepaid, and merchant payment solutions for millions of users and thousands of financial institutions. Day-to-day work includes gathering and documenting requirements, configuring system settings, creating flowcharts and specifications, coordinating with programmers and test analysts, supporting testing and implementation, and maintaining PCI and security compliance documentation.

What you’ll do

• Acts as a liaison between client end-users, programmers, and test analysts in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of systems
• Develops working relationships with key stakeholders and documents business needs, operational procedures, input/output requirements, data scope, security requirements, and access levels
• Develops simple to complex business specifications and logical flowcharts for programmers to create technical specifications
• Consults and coordinates with programmers to design and develop requirements and analyze feasibility of new systems and enhancements
• Prepares input for system design including report and screen definitions, logical system flow, and implementation plans
• Develops documentation such as bulletins, manuals, file layouts, and application design layouts for internal, client, and training purposes
• Conducts and supports testing, planning, and validation by clarifying intended functionality and providing test scenarios
• Assists with detailed project planning on larger projects and may act as Project Manager on smaller development efforts

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent training or experience
• Typically minimum 4 years of relevant experience
• Professional experience working with end-users to meet business needs
• MS Office and flowcharting proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Ability to analyze business requests and design automated systems scope and objectives
• Ability to develop business specifications and logical flowcharts for technical teams
• Experience coordinating with programmers to design and develop requirements and analyze feasibility
• Experience supporting testing, validation, and implementation activities

• Understanding of data structures
• Working towards a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
