Engineer / Senior Engineer - Layout Engineering

About the role

KONE's Layout Engineering team in Chennai designs elevator and escalator layouts and building interfaces to deliver safe, reliable people flow in taller, smarter buildings. You will prepare GAD for elevators, perform strength calculations on elevator components, interface components with building drawings, analyze and propose competitive solutions, interpret customer requirements, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to complete assigned tasks on time. The role is a full-time position for candidates with a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and 3 to 6 years of experience in Mechanical Design or BOM creation.

What you’ll do

• Prepare GAD for elevators
• Make strength calculations for the elevator components
• Make elevator component interface with building drawings
• Analyse and provide suitable competitive solution for product offerings
• Interpret the customer requirement clearly and provide solution
• Coordinate with cross functional team and complete the assigned tasks on time

What you’ll bring

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
• 3 to 6 years of experience in Mechanical Design / BOM creation
• Candidates from a Design background are preferred

Nice to have

Good knowledge in AutoCAD, CREO, Autodesk Inventor / SolidWorks is an added advantage
