Data & AI Engineering team at SonicWall builds AI-driven security analytics and telemetry pipelines. The Senior Director leads an elite group of data and AI/ML architects, staying hands‑on with code and system design while shaping product strategy and roadmap. Works cross‑functionally with Product Management, UX, and Core Security Platform to deliver high‑value AI features, balancing rapid experimentation with rigorous security guardrails. Hybrid work model based in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor an elite team of data and AI architects
• Contribute hands‑on code and design high‑level system architecture
• Partner with Product Management to define AI roadmap
• Integrate AI pipelines with core security platforms
• Collaborate with UX to create intuitive AI‑driven experiences
• Drive agile delivery from ideation to production
• Establish processes balancing speed with security guardrails
• Communicate technical plans and impacts to executives and customers

Nice to have

• 8+ years engineering leadership experience
• 3+ years managing data or machine learning teams
• Hands‑on software architecture and distributed data systems expertise
• Proven track record shipping data‑driven SaaS features
• Experience in cybersecurity product environments
• Strong communication translating AI concepts to business value
• Familiarity with generative AI and LLM orchestration
• Ability to mentor senior technical staff
