About the role

Halliburton's Sperry Drilling Services team in Mumbai, India, seeks a Field Professional-MWD (I-II-Senior) to provide on-site supervision of the Measurement-While-Drilling process. Under direct supervision, the role handles tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, QC, and service delivery while serving as a second man and assisting with technical consultation on mud hydraulics, BHA planning, and formation evaluation. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three months of MWD field experience, completion of basic M/LWD training, and relevant on/offshore safety certificates.

What you’ll do

  • Provide on-site supervision of the MWD process including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation, QC and delivery of services to the customer
  • Serve as a second man in a subordinate role and assist in ensuring data presented to the customer is accurate, timely and meets the highest service quality standard
  • Assist in ensuring expected and needed data and possible problems are provided to the customer
  • Assist in providing technical consultation to clients including mud hydraulics, BHA planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, the mud system and BHA dynamics
  • Properly test all tools and equipment before, during and after each job and identify and correct operational problems to prevent or minimize service impact
  • Assist in accurately completing all required forms, databases and reports such as service vouchers, lost/damaged equipment, radiation site survey, EJCS report and FAD/CPI
  • Ensure BHAs are assembled as planned including correct make-up torque, doping and handling
  • Interface with the Directional Driller to ensure BHA compatibility, planned operating parameters are within specification and correct tool face references are applied, and participate in performance i

What you’ll bring
