Area Sales Manager

About the role

Paytm's Oil and Gas vertical Offline payment solution team in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, focuses on enabling offline payments for petrol, gas, and retail merchants via POS and EDC machines. As an Area Sales Manager, you will drive EDC machine sales across multiple locations, onboard and service merchants, and maintain relationships with PSU and oil marketing companies. The role involves building and leading a team, setting goals, overseeing daily operations, and reporting on performance metrics. This is an on-site, full-time position requiring graduation or post-graduation.

What you’ll do

• Drive swiping device sales in the assigned area
• Onboard new merchants for offline solutions and service existing merchants
• Maintain good relationships with PSU Companies and Oil marketing Companies
• Resolve merchant queries and drive overall engaged merchant base
• Set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and set deadlines
• Oversee day-to-day operations and monitor team performance
• Report on metrics and discover training needs to provide coaching
• Listen to team feedback, resolve issues or conflicts, and recognize high performance
