About the role
Sr. Lead Engineer, Value Engineering at Xylem’s Central VAVE team drives annualized cost savings through structured VAVE methodology on pump assemblies and components. The role leads end‑to‑end VAVE projects, performing function analysis, FAST diagrams, and engineering changes to validate and industrialize value ideas. Based in Vadodara, India, the position is onsite with hybrid work policy and up to 25% travel.
What you’ll do
- Lead VAVE projects end‑to‑end
- Perform function analysis and FAST diagrams
- Generate and evaluate concepts
- Convert ideas into engineering changes
- Provide deep technical leadership in pump design
- Conduct analytical assessments
- Create/review 3D models and 2D drawings
- Lead benchmarking/teardown activities
- Collaborate with cost engineering
- Validate process capability
- Present findings to leadership
