Senior Manager, Applications System Development

Global Payments seeks a Senior Manager to lead the delivery of business-critical payment solutions for millions of users. Based in Pune, India, this role involves managing technical talent, setting product roadmaps, and driving innovation across multiple scrum teams. The position requires overseeing secure application design, capacity planning, and stakeholder collaboration to meet growing business needs.

What you’ll do

• Manage technical talent acquisition, growth, retention, and mentorship of development, QA, and support engineers
• Work with product stakeholders to set desired product roadmaps and drive critical improvements
• Lead the design, craftsmanship, availability, resilience, security, and scalability of solutions
• Drive accurate project estimates, create plans, identify risks, and allocate resources
• Develop capacity plans and skills assessments while managing third-party consultants
• Stay updated on security threats and enforce secure application design and coding practices
• Simultaneously drive multiple large initiatives potentially across multiple scrum teams
• Prepare technical presentations, project status updates, and annual budget information

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's Degree
• 12+ years total experience in software development using Java and/or Microsoft .NET technologies
• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering professionals
• High proficiency in applying agile methodologies
• High proficiency in modern DevOps and QA practices
