About the role
Global Finance Solutions (GFS) Production Planning Team builds scalable, cost-effective labor planning for Amazon fulfillment and delivery networks. The Senior Production Planning Analyst leads complex planning initiatives, designs advanced forecasting models, and partners with senior operations, finance, HR, and technology stakeholders to drive data‑backed decisions. Bengaluru, KA, IND – on-site work model.
What you’ll do
- Lead production and labor planning efforts across fulfillment and delivery networks
- Develop short‑, medium‑, and long‑term operational and labor plans balancing service levels and staffing costs
- Partner with senior business, finance, and operations stakeholders to define planning assumptions and drive data‑backed recommendations
- Design and apply advanced forecasting methodologies using trend analysis, statistical modeling, and scenario planning
- Analyze complex business problems, identify root causes, and develop scalable solutions
- Influence network‑level strategic decisions through data‑driven communication with senior leadership
- Communicate analyses and recommendations via written narratives, executive presentations, and verbal forums
- Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and automation of planning processes
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros, pivot tables, and lookup functions
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills
- Experience troubleshooting technical systems or managing analytical tools in production
- Experience applying statistical models at scale and developing automated analytical systems
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis and quantitative modeling techniques
Nice to have
- Experience with SQL, programming languages, and Excel VBA
- Experience defining, tracking, and evolving performance metrics and KPIs
- Experience conducting financial, operational, or advanced quantitative analyses
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in operations, fulfillment, logistics, or supply chain environments
