Engineering Manager- Data Engineering

India Full-time Remote

About the role

GroundTruth is an advertising platform that turns real-world behavior into marketing that drives in-store visits and other real business results. We use observed consumer behavior, including location and purchase data, to create targeted advertising campaigns across all screens, measure responses, and uncover insights to optimize marketing. We are looking for a Data Engineering Manager to design and build scalable data platforms and pipelines, manage AWS-native services, and lead a team on the Audience Engineering team.

What you’ll do

  • Architect scalable data pipelines with PySpark on EMR and AWS Glue
  • Coach and mentor engineers on Python, Spark optimization, data modeling
  • Partner with stakeholders to plan and deliver data-first projects
  • Write production-ready Python/PySpark code, review, optimize Spark configs
  • Apply Agile Scrum for iterative development and continuous delivery
  • Conduct 1:1s, feedback, quarterly reviews, performance management

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent
  • 8+ years in data engineering, warehousing, or big data architecture
  • 2+ years leading data engineering teams
  • Deep Python & PySpark expertise, tuning distributed jobs
  • Advanced AWS: EMR, S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda management
  • Expert SQL for complex transformations & performance tuning
  • Proficient with Airflow orchestration and Git
  • AI-driven engineering: automate data quality, use AI-native tools

Nice to have

  • AWS certification
  • Event-driven architecture experience with AWS SQS
