Lead Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co’s Data, Analytics & AI team seeks a Lead Full Stack Engineer to drive strategic data programs within the Supply Chain & Planning domain. Based in Bengaluru, India, you will architect scalable batch and real-time data pipelines, develop data models, and provide technical leadership to junior engineers. This full-time role requires flexibility for U.S. time zone overlap.

What you’ll do

• Lead an individual track within the Supply Chain & Planning Data Domain
• Architect scalable batch and real-time data pipelines for enterprise solutions
• Develop data models, transformations, and data products meeting business requirements
• Establish data quality, governance, observability, and monitoring frameworks
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot data issues to improve stability
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
• Partner with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Architects to deliver high-value outcomes
• Champion modern software engineering practices including Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps

What you’ll bring

• 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing
• Expertise in SQL and Python for large-scale data processing
• Hands-on experience with Spark, Flink, Hive, or distributed frameworks
• Experience designing event-driven architectures and streaming platforms (Kafka, Google Pub/Sub)
• Proficiency in data transformation frameworks like dbt, PySpark, or Dataflow
• Experience building and maintaining data products and APIs
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
• Ability to mentor engineers and guide engineering excellence

Nice to have

• Experience with one or more major cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
• B.E. in Computer Science is good to have
