Lead Business Analyst - Product Owner

About the role

Mastercard's UK product team seeks a Lead Product Owner to drive enhancements and shape requirements for UK domestic clearing products. The role involves managing the backlog, acting as a liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams, and maximizing product value in a complex financial services environment. This full-time position is based in Pune, India.

What you’ll do

• Owns working backwards documents and vision for feature releases
• Identifies gaps and charts new platform capabilities as required
• Uses research, user studies, metrics, and competitive analysis to understand platform needs
• Makes trade-off decisions on platform product features and prioritizes backlog
• Digests business customer requirements and platform requirements for feature sets
• Reviews product demos with development teams against acceptance criteria
• Prepares launches and monitors platform performance, adoption, and operational health
• Mentors team members and assists with candidate selection and onboarding

What you’ll bring

• Proven track record working in financial services
• Understanding of UK payment domestic clearing products/services (e.g., Bacs or FPS)
• Experience producing business requirements specification documents
• Skilled in elicitation and analysis of business change, functional and non-functional requirements
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
