Consultant - Railway Consulting - Bilingual French / German - Industrial

About the role

Accenture Strategy & Consulting's S&C Global Network (GN) Industrial Practice seeks a bilingual Consultant specializing in Transportation & Logistics, with a focus on railway logistics and management. You will lead high-impact client engagements, shape business development pursuits, and contribute to thought leadership on global supply chains and mobility, leveraging digital transformation, IoT, AI/ML, and advanced analytics. The role requires fluency in French or German to serve as the primary client liaison, with locations across India including Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.

What you’ll do

• Lead high-impact client engagements in railway logistics and management
• Shape business development pursuits and contribute to thought leadership defining the future of global supply chains and mobility
• Provide consulting services in French or German as the primary liaison for clients and stakeholders
• Communicate complex technical and functional concepts fluently in French or German, both verbally and in written documentation
• Drive operational efficiency and digital transformation across clients in transportation and logistics
• Manage project scope, budget, and delivery focusing on operational efficiency and cost control
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and drive successful delivery within scope and budget
• Coach and mentor team members in projects, asset development, business development, and overall professional development

What you’ll bring

• Fluency in French or German (written and spoken) to provide consulting services and serve as primary client liaison
• 6-10 years of progressive experience in railway management and/or logistics, with consulting exposure
• MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 school, or extensive industry experience in railway logistics and consulting
• Working knowledge of key rail concepts: asset management, rail operations, infrastructure management, and customer journey design
• Strategic Project Management: ability to manage project scope, budget, and delivery focusing on operational efficiency and cost control
• Communication and Presentation: plan and deliver well-structured oral and written communications
• Structured Problem Solving: identify and structure key client challenges into hypotheses and conduct analyses
• Stakeholder Management: manage mid-level to senior client leadership and lead conversations

Nice to have

• Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) and familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Experience in strategy and business/technology consulting with process improvement, cost optimization, customer analytics, and experience management
• Experience in value architecting, business case preparation, and value realization
• Experience in Digital, New IT, Cloud & Core modernization, Cloud transformation, Agile transformation, RPA, AI/ML strategy implementation and use cases
• Familiarity with Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS Projects
• Knowledge of design thinking workshops and innovation
• Experience in large data analysis, data-driven consulting, BI and analytics, reporting, dashboarding, visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau
• Team management experience: coach and mentor team members in projects, asset development, business development, and professional development

Education

MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 school, or extensive industry experience in railway logistics and consulting.
