About the role

The Fusion Analytics and Data Engineering team at State Street seeks a Senior Associate to advance enterprise security observability through the Enterprise Log Telemetry Monitoring initiative. This role involves building Splunk dashboards, performing Databricks-based analytics, and supporting cyber threat detection strategies. The position is based in Bangalore, India, with a hybrid work model requiring four days on-site per week.

What you’ll do

Implement and enhance security observability capabilities using Splunk and Databricks
Design and maintain Splunk queries, dashboards, and Databricks analytics assets
Perform advanced analytics across security-relevant data sources like endpoints and firewalls
Identify log telemetry gaps and implementation issues impacting detection coverage
Partner with SOC and platform teams to troubleshoot telemetry and improve detection readiness
Document workflows, procedures, and technical configurations for knowledge management
Participate in internal events and workshops to share lessons learned and best practices

What you’ll bring

Fluency in SPL for writing efficient queries and building dashboards in Splunk
Hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, and Python for large-scale analytics
Experience as a lead technical analyst or engineer embedded in a SOC environment
Strong understanding of endpoint security products and telemetry sources
Experience with large, enterprise-scale SIEM ecosystems

Nice to have

Working knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Azure and AWS
Ability to quickly analyze unfamiliar security data sources and generate insights
Excellent documentation skills to keep workflows and procedures current
Passion for mentoring others and sharing engineering best practices
