Senior Analyst, SCADA & Data Engineer

About the role

Asset Management – Renewable Energy Operations team at DESRI. The team ensures reliable SCADA operations and builds end‑to‑end telemetry data pipelines for utility‑scale solar and BESS assets. The Senior Analyst designs and monitors time‑series data flows, writes SQL and Python scripts for data quality, and troubleshoots protocol issues across DNP3, Modbus and MQTT. Hyderabad, on‑site work model.

What you’ll do

• Manage flow of time‑series data from field devices to cloud
• Develop and maintain data quality checks and anomaly detection scripts
• Monitor SCADA system health and resolve communication failures
• Create and support interactive dashboards for performance engineering
• Maintain point mapping and ensure data model consistency
• Coordinate with vendors and integrators to resolve SCADA issues

What you’ll bring

• 2-5 years experience bridging SCADA and data engineering
• Proficiency in SQL and time‑series databases
• Experience with industrial protocols (Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP3, MQTT)
• Python scripting (Pandas, API integration)
• Familiarity with data pipeline tools (Kafka, Node‑RED, Telegraf)
• Building dashboards in Grafana or Power BI
• Understanding of utility‑scale solar PV or BESS hardware
• Hands‑on troubleshooting of edge‑to‑cloud telemetry
