About the role

Vertiv seeks an Engineer I in Pune, India, to design and develop rectifier hardware for power infrastructure solutions. The role involves creating project timelines, conducting peer reviews, and solving production or market issues while adhering to global engineering processes. This is an on-site position requiring a Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience in power electronics.

• Hardware design and development of rectifier product projects
• Create project timelines and organize collaborative meetings
• Ensure projects comply with specifications and timelines
• Perform peer reviews for technical accuracy
• Handle and solve market and production problems
• Apply new trends and technologies to improve product lines
• Maintain knowledge of best practices and materials
• Follow defined global engineering processes and communication plans

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in power electronics design & development
• Strong knowledge of power conversion design & manufacturing
• Experience with Industrial grade Rectifier or UPS product design
• Familiarity with PFC, inverter circuit, buck, boost & LLC circuit principles
• Knowledge of magnetic design

Nice to have

• Familiarity with control theory, analog, digital & electric systems
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC testing and solutions
• Thorough understanding of applied maths & physics
• Exposure to computer-aided drafting (CAD) software
• Exposure to embedded software development
