About the role

As the Design Head for Tunnelling at Adani, you will lead the design function for complex tunnelling projects, ensuring innovation, quality, and compliance with industry best practices. This role requires a strategic visionary with a deep technical understanding of tunnelling design tools and methodologies. You will spearhead multidisciplinary teams to deliver design solutions that align with the company’s commitment to sustainability, safety, and operational excellence. Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders, you will drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of excellence and inclusion within the design division.

What you’ll do

Lead end-to-end tunnelling design
Use AutoCAD, Revit, Bentley MicroStation, STAAD.Pro
Enforce quality control and compliance
Integrate geotechnical, structural inputs
Conduct feasibility and risk assessments
Drive innovation and sustainable practices
Mentor design team and drafters
Conduct design reviews with stakeholders
Develop design standards and procedures
Coordinate procurement and construction transition
Monitor budgets and resources
Ensure code compliance and safety
Provide technical advisory on complex issues
Foster inclusive culture
Represent Adani in industry forums

What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
PE license or equivalent
PMP or tunnelling design certifications
20+ years tunnelling design experience
