About the role
Accenture Strategy’s M&A and Private Equity Consulting practice delivers strategic value creation across the full deal lifecycle for PE and corporate clients. As a Manager, you will lead day-to-day execution and governance of large M&A/PE programs, covering pre-deal due diligence and target screening, deal execution and Day-1 planning, and post-deal integration, separation, and portfolio transformation across functional and tech workstreams. Based in Bengaluru (with Gurgaon/Mumbai options), this full-time role collaborates with global leadership, account teams, and Capability Network teams to shape engagements and grow the practice.
What you’ll do
- Deliver strategic engagements across the full M&A lifecycle, including target screening, sector/company research, commercial/operational/technology due diligence, and synergy assessment
- Lead deal execution activities such as Day-1 planning, synergy and value creation planning, business model evaluation, and go-to-market and product strategy assessment
- Drive post-deal integration/separation planning and execution, operating model alignment, cost/value capture realization, and portfolio transformation initiatives across supply chain, finance, HR, and
- Work across Functional M&A (operating model shifts, supply chain optimization, commercial acceleration, workforce and org redesign, process harmonization) and Tech M&A (IT/cyber due diligence, platfor
- Collaborate with account teams and global leadership to shape opportunities and deliver client orals and proposals
- Develop and contribute to new IP, accelerators, POVs, and brown bag sessions to drive practice development
- Build relationships with global stakeholders, contribute to pipeline origination, and own proposals
- Mentor consultants, lead knowledge-sharing, and actively participate in growing the M&A/PE consulting practice
What you’ll bring
- 6+ years of post-MBA experience
- Hands-on experience across both pre-deal and post-deal phases in Tech M&A, including Tech Due Diligence and IT Integration/Separation
- Post-deal exposure in Functional M&A is mandatory
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with issue-based thinking
- Experience in direct client interactions, including presenting findings and driving stakeholder discussions
- Experience with value creation strategies, growth and cost levers, and digital or tech transformation in deals
- Business acumen and knowledge of M&A trends, investment models, and PE-backed transformation mandates
- Ability to lead day-to-day execution and governance of large, complex M&A/PE programs
Nice to have
- Experience working with clients in one or more of these sectors: CMT, Financial Services, Resources, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Consumer Goods & Services, Retail
- Functional exposure in Finance, HR, or Supply Chain/Procurement for functional integration and separation is good to have
