About the role

Kyndryl Mainframe Services team drives mission‑critical mainframe storage solutions for global enterprises. The Mainframe Storage Architect leads technical design, stakeholder alignment, and implementation of DASD and tape storage, guiding clients from requirements through delivery. Based in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai or Noida with an on‑site work model, the role offers hybrid‑friendly culture and opportunities for certification and career growth.

What you’ll do

• Lead technical design and architecture for mainframe storage solutions
• Coordinate with clients, governance, project executives and vendors
• Define and implement storage migration and replication strategies
• Provide subject‑matter expertise and consulting throughout project lifecycle
• Ensure delivery meets time, budget and quality standards
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross‑functional teams

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years mainframe storage administration
• Experience with DASD and tape storage solutions
• Knowledge of z/OS operating system and storage fundamentals
• Proficiency with TSO, ISPF, JCL, VSAM, ISMF, JES2
• Familiarity with DFSMS, DFSMSHSM, DFSMSDSS
• Experience using storage monitoring tools such as Omegamon XE
• Ability to work US, Europe and APAC client hours
