GDS Cyber-DPP team at EY focuses on AI-driven data protection solutions for global clients. The Senior AI Data Protection Engineer leads design and implementation of advanced protection platforms, builds automation for deployment and policy tuning, and creates reusable accelerators across client engagements. Based in Bengaluru with an on-site work model, the role collaborates with privacy, cloud, and AI teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

What you’ll do

• Lead engineering design and implementation of AI‑enabled data protection solutions
• Build and industrialize automation for deployment, policy tuning, and reporting
• Design hybrid and agentic deployment patterns integrating AI tools and data workflows
• Create reusable accelerators such as code libraries, templates, and testing artifacts
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal engineering standards

What you’ll bring

• 5-8 years data protection or cybersecurity engineering experience
• Hands‑on data discovery/classification, PKI/KMS, rights management
• Working knowledge of ML, deep learning, NLP, RAG, AI‑assisted prioritization
• Experience with major data protection platforms (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Cyera, Varonis)
• Strong Python scripting and API integration skills
• Ability to lead technical workstreams in client‑facing environments

Skills
