Network Security Engineer, Firewall

About the role

IDFC FIRST Bank – Network Security team secures the bank’s enterprise network. The Network Security Engineer focuses on designing, configuring, and operating firewall and perimeter security controls across data centres, cloud, and hybrid environments, while handling segmentation, rule management, and incident response. Based in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, on-site role.

What you’ll do

• Design, configure, and operate enterprise-grade firewall platforms across data centres, cloud, and hybrid environments
• Enforce network segmentation, least‑privilege access, and controlled ingress/egress
• Manage firewall rule lifecycle including reviews, recertification, optimization, and cleanup
• Troubleshoot complex network security and connectivity issues across multiple layers
• Support secure connectivity for applications, users, vendors, and cloud workloads
• Monitor firewall logs and integrate with SIEM and SOC workflows
• Participate in incident response related to network‑based attacks
• Support internal, external, and regulatory audits and maintain architecture diagrams, SOPs, and audit evidence

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years experience in network security, preferably in banking
