Software QA Engineer

About the role

HP Inc. seeks a Software QA Engineer in Bengaluru to design and execute testing strategies that ensure product excellence and user satisfaction. The role involves leading QA activities, mentoring staff, and collaborating with development partners to deliver reliable software solutions. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring 4-7 years of experience.

What you’ll do

• Designs quality assurance and test processes for subsystems across various platforms
• Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation
• Identifies, debugs, and creates solutions for code and integration issues
• Performs code reviews and participates in design discussions to identify quality issues
• Leads project teams of QA engineers and development partners
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members
• Analyzes testing processes to suggest improvements for efficiency
• Collaborates with management and stakeholders regarding test status and progress

What you’ll bring

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in CS, SE, IS, IT, or commensurate work experience
• 4-7 years of work experience in software quality assurance or related field
• Experience with test harnesses and QA focused tools
• Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Jenkins, JIRA, and API testing
