About the role
Embedded Firmware Team at Enphase Energy develops next‑generation microinverter technology for clean energy. The Senior Staff Embedded Firmware Engineer drives real‑time firmware and software for inverter and BESS systems, mentors engineers, and leads technical direction while collaborating with hardware teams. Bangalore office, 5 days onsite, full‑time role.
What you’ll do
- Define and develop functional concepts for microinverter systems
- Design and implement real‑time firmware and embedded software
- Create firmware for functional safety compliance
- Simulate and validate autonomous microgrid algorithms
- Develop unit and system test software
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on prototype validation
- Lead code reviews, documentation, and release management
- Mentor senior and junior engineers
What you’ll bring
- 12+ years embedded firmware experience
- B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related
- Proficiency in C, C++ and Assembly
- Experience with FreeRTOS and Zephyr RTOS
- Strong DSP knowledge for 32‑bit microprocessors
- Hands‑on hardware testing and debugging
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git
- Knowledge of safety standards UL1741, IEEE 1547, IEC 62109
