About the role
Digital Product Management Office at Caterpillar drives digital transformation across manufacturing, supply chain, and enterprise data platforms. The Senior Digital Product Owner defines product vision, prioritizes the backlog, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable digital solutions. Based in Chennai and Bangalore, India, this role works onsite five days a week.
What you’ll do
- Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Own and prioritize product backlog aligned with business objectives
- Translate requirements into epics, features, and user stories
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release activities
- Engage stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations
- Validate delivered functionality and accept releases
- Drive adoption and value realization through metrics and feedback
- Champion Agile, Lean product management, and customer‑centric practices
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years digital product management experience
- 5+ years Agile/Scrum delivery experience
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, Rally, Aha!
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams without direct authority
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Nice to have
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe POPM
- Experience with manufacturing digital platforms or Industrial IoT
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- Familiarity with Snowflake, data products, AI/ML, analytics
- Experience leading globally distributed product teams
- Understanding of DevOps, DataOps, MLOps
