Custom Software Engineer

About the role

As a Custom Software Engineer within Accenture's CDC2E - SEZ location in Chennai, you will analyze client requirements and design tailored software solutions, primarily focused on Salesforce CPQ. Day-to-day work includes coding, testing, and maintaining multiple application components, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and providing guidance to junior members. The role requires independent contribution and becoming a subject matter expert while continuously updating knowledge on emerging technologies.

What you’ll do

• Analyze, design, code and test multiple components of application code across one or more clients
• Perform maintenance, enhancements and/or development work
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for software development
• Document technical specifications and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
• Assist junior team members by providing guidance and support in their development tasks
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems
• Continuously update knowledge on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance project outcomes
• Perform independently and become an SME

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Salesforce CPQ
• Proficiency in Salesforce CPQ
• Experience in customizing and configuring Salesforce CPQ solutions to meet business requirements
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices in coding and testing
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within Salesforce CPQ implementations
• Familiarity with integration techniques and tools to connect Salesforce CPQ with other enterprise systems
• 15 years full time education
• Ability to perform independently and become an SME
