Senior Consultant - Workday Financials

About the role

Makse Group seeks a Senior Consultant to join its Workday Financials Practice. The role involves supporting clients’ day‑to‑day Workday Financial Management workstreams, recommending best practices, and engineering business processes. Responsibilities include developing system configuration solutions, dashboards, composite reports, and calculated fields, as well as assisting with client‑side implementations, data gathering, system testing, and UAT. The consultant will troubleshoot process failures, perform root‑cause analyses, and help convert legacy data into Workday. They will collaborate with integrations teams to configure and test integrations with third‑party/custom solutions, identify enhancement opportunities in new Workday releases, and mentor junior staff. Candidates must have 3+ years of functional experience in Workday Financial Management, 3+ years as an Implementation Senior Consultant or Systems Senior Analyst, and 2+ years of project workstream experience. Advanced report writing, dashboard creation, and data governance skills are required, with Workday PRO certification highly desired. A bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance/Accounting is required.

What you’ll do

• Support our client’s day-to-day Workday Financial Management workstream and recommend best practices related to Workday functionality.
• Modify and redevelop/engineer business processes based on unique client requirements and best practices across the Workday platform.
• Develop system configuration solutions, dashboards, composite reports and calculated fields; demonstrate the configurations through the development of prototype systems, and assist the client in testing the Workday solution.
• Support client-side implementations including assembling data gathering workbooks as well as system testing and UAT.
• Troubleshoot business process failures, perform root cause analyses, and develop plans to mitigate and avoid future system issues.
• Work with clients to help convert legacy data into Workday.
• Assisting the integrations team in helping to configure and test integrations between Workday and other third party/custom solutions.
• Identify client enhancement opportunities for existing and new features introduced across new Workday releases.
• Mentor junior staff.

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years of functional experience with Workday Financial Management with demonstrated success of hands‑on experience with delivering Workday solutions in this area.
• 3+ years of experience as an Implementation Senior Consultant or Systems Senior Analyst with Workday, a Workday Partner or Workday Client.
• 2+ years of projects workstream experience and training.
• Advanced report writing skills; experience building dashboards, custom validations, condition rules and calculated fields.
• Understand and follow company policies surrounding data governance, security, tenant configuration, maintenance, system development life-cycle and integration development.
• Adaptive insights solutions experience is a plus.
• Current or previous Workday Certification highly desired including Workday PRO.
• Ability to support effectively multiple customers concurrently on short duration projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree in Finance/Accounting.
