About the role
Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a System Software Engineer for its Aruba Networks team to design and develop WLAN controller infrastructure software. What you’ll do
- Design and develop software across multiple platforms and products
- Conduct feasibility studies and determine coding integration activities
- Execute testing plans, debug issues, and suggest improvements
- Provide design input and feedback across multiple organizations
- Guide and mentor less experienced staff members
- Identify industry best architecture solutions for strategic needs
- Communicate technology roadmaps to leadership and partners
- Participate in selection processes for future technical leaders
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4 to 15+ years of relevant experience
- Strong Linux system programming skills (multi-threading, sockets)
- Expertise in Python, Go, Java, Scala, or C/C++
- Solid understanding of IP Networking, LAN/WLAN protocols
- Experience with Virtualization, SDN, NFV, and Hypervisors
