About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a System Software Engineer for its Aruba Networks team to design and develop WLAN controller infrastructure software. The role involves system programming, networking protocol implementation, and mentoring staff within an on-site office in Bengaluru. This position focuses on building scalable edge-to-cloud solutions while adhering to agile development practices.

What you’ll do

  • Design and develop software across multiple platforms and products
  • Conduct feasibility studies and determine coding integration activities
  • Execute testing plans, debug issues, and suggest improvements
  • Provide design input and feedback across multiple organizations
  • Guide and mentor less experienced staff members
  • Identify industry best architecture solutions for strategic needs
  • Communicate technology roadmaps to leadership and partners
  • Participate in selection processes for future technical leaders

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 4 to 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong Linux system programming skills (multi-threading, sockets)
  • Expertise in Python, Go, Java, Scala, or C/C++
  • Solid understanding of IP Networking, LAN/WLAN protocols
  • Experience with Virtualization, SDN, NFV, and Hypervisors
