Senior Test Engineer

About the role

Senior Test Engineer within Mobile and Connected Vehicle Services & UI/UX, leading quality assurance for Android and iOS applications. Day-to-day work includes defining test strategies, building automation frameworks, executing functional and exploratory testing, managing defects, validating UI/UX and accessibility, and leveraging AI tools for test generation and analysis with human oversight. Based in Hyderabad or Bengaluru, India, full-time.

What you’ll do

• Lead quality assurance activities across the complete software development lifecycle.
• Define test strategies, test plans, test cases, regression suites, and release validation processes.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
• Execute testing across Android and iOS devices covering multiple device models, screen sizes, and OS versions.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites.
• Manage defect lifecycle activities including defect identification, triage, reporting, prioritization, and closure validation.
• Validate UI implementation against approved designs, design systems, usability principles, and accessibility standards.
• Leverage AI tools for test case generation, test design, test data preparation, defect analysis, requirements review, documentation, reporting, and productivity improvements.

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Strong experience leading mobile application testing programs across Android and iOS platforms.
• Strong experience developing and executing mobile test automation strategies.
• Experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, Selenium, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycle management, and quality engineering practices.
• Experience with API testing, integration testing, and backend validation.
• Good understanding of UI/UX principles, user-centered design, usability testing, accessibility requirements, and mobile design best practices.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools for test case generation, requirement analysis, test automation support, defect analysis, documentation, and reporting.

Nice to have

• Experience in connected vehicle, mobility, telematics, IoT, or digital services platforms.
• Experience with performance testing and mobile security testing.
• Familiarity with cloud-based device farms and mobile testing platforms.
• Experience with accessibility compliance standards and usability assessment frameworks.
• Experience implementing AI-assisted quality engineering practices and governance processes.

Skills

Education

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Quality Engineering, Human Computer Interaction or related field.
