About the role

U.S. Bancorp India seeks a Software Engineer to drive digital transformation by designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software experiences. The role involves full-stack ownership, ensuring scalability and reliability while adhering to agile and DevOps principles. This is an on-site position located in Chennai, India.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software products
• Write production-ready, testable code with full stack ownership
• Create optimal designs considering scalability, reliability, and performance
• Analyze failures and propose design changes for operational improvements
• Conduct code reviews to ensure engineering best practices and compliance
• Ensure product development follows security and compliance standards
• Prioritize tasks and communicate blockers or delays proactively
• Embrace emerging technologies to support technology transformation

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of eight years of professional experience

Nice to have

• Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles
• Proficient understanding of algorithms, data structures, and architectural design patterns
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
