Senior Data Scientist, Analytics Applications & Decision Support

About the role

Global Supply Chain (GSC) at Amgen builds end‑to‑end supply chain solutions powered by data and analytics. The Senior Data Scientist rapidly prototypes and delivers user‑facing analytics applications, interactive decision‑support tools, and visual analytics to improve supply chain visibility and execution. Works in Hyderabad, on‑site, collaborating with product, architecture, UX, and data teams to translate business concepts into intuitive tools.

What you’ll do

• Prototype and develop analytics applications and decision‑support tools
• Design and implement interactive visualizations and dashboards
• Create technical documentation and solution designs
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges
• Evaluate and recommend cloud and analytics technologies
• Own product modules and ensure scalability
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders in Agile ceremonies

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years data science experience
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with React, TypeScript or JavaScript
• Hands‑on cloud services and architecture
• Building dashboards with Power BI, Tableau or similar

Nice to have

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to design APIs and data pipelines
• Knowledge of supply chain processes
