Staff Software Engineer, Frontend Engineer

About the role

OneTrust’s Product Engineering team is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build and evolve platform-grade frontend capabilities for its AI‑Ready Governance Platform. Day-to-day, you will design and deliver standardized, reusable UI building blocks (organisms/patterns), establish frontend standards and architecture, and partner with UX, Product, and UI Architecture teams to ensure consistent, accessible, and performant experiences across the product ecosystem. The role is based in Bengaluru, India.

What you’ll do

• Develop platform-level UI components and patterns reused across multiple products and teams
• Establish and enforce frontend standards, architecture, and best practices across the organization
• Build and maintain scalable component libraries and design system integrations
• Partner with UX and product teams to translate design into flexible, reusable abstractions
• Ensure UI solutions are consistent, accessible, performant, and responsive at scale
• Enable product teams by providing clear contracts, documentation, and extensibility models
• Continuously evolve the frontend platform to support multi-team, multi-product use cases
• Conduct peer code reviews and mentor junior developers to improve code quality and testing practices

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical or business field
• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• Expert coding and design skills in Angular
• Expert coding and design skills using CSS and SCSS
• Experience building and/or contributing to a component library
• Experience with design systems, including tokenization and theming
• Experience building large-scale web applications
• Experience with internationalization and localization
