About the role
IQVIA seeks a Consultant for Development (VBA and Power BI) to design, build, and deploy analytical tools for life sciences clients, focusing on forecasting, PMA, and automation. Day-to-day work includes architecting VBA/Python solutions, translating client requirements into technical specs, delivering dashboards and client-ready presentations, providing technical guidance to analysts, and supporting business development and client engagement. Locations: Gurugram and Bangalore, India; full-time employment.
What you’ll do
- Leads or participates in teams to architect, code, and deliver consulting projects or components of larger, complex projects, with a focus on VBA and Python-based implementations
- Reviews and translates client requirements into technical specifications, developing cost-effective solutions that balance profitability with high client satisfaction
- Provides technical direction to Analysts, Consultants, and Statistical Services, ensuring best practices in coding, automation, and data handling
- Produces detailed technical documentation, including code specifications, workflows, and deployment guidelines
- Applies advanced programming and statistical methods to identify client issues and develop tailored solutions
- Designs and delivers client reports and presentations, integrating automated dashboards and Python-driven visualizations
- Identifies opportunities for follow-on work and new leads by showcasing technical capabilities in automation and AI
- When acting as Project Manager, oversees technical timelines, code delivery milestones, and day-to-day communication with clients and team members
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Master's degree in Computer Applications
- 4-6 years of related experience
- Good knowledge in Pharmaceutical Forecasting and datasets
- Advanced MS Excel (mandatory) – modelling, large datasets, automation
- VBA (mandatory) – automation, tool development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Python solution development
- Proficiency in PowerPoint (client-ready storytelling)
