Trade Compliance Specialist

About the role

Micron is seeking a Global Trade Specialist to join our Global Trade Compliance team. You will work with various team members to support Micron’s trade compliance program, including performance of import and export classification activities, supporting various aspects of import and customs operations, and performing certain export screening and diligence activities as well as other trade compliance related tasks. Tasks and Responsibilities: Perform import and export classification activities with a focus on semiconductors, electronics, and encryption. Enhance existing classification processes through process improvement initiatives. Perform denied party screening activities, diligence on prospective customers, vendors, and business partners, adjudicate potential screening matches, and support general export compliance activities. Support certain global import operations through data gathering, invoice support and other related tasks. Liaise with Micron business functions to support compliance with local, regional, and global trade compliance operations. Support internal and external self-assessments and audit commitments, including responsibilities for process improvements and corrective actions. Primary Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. 1-5 years of relevant experience. Primary locations available: Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Background in Engineering a plus. Project management experience a plus. Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make impactful decisions. Flexible and able to balance multiple priorities at once and ability to quickly adjust priorities to meet business needs. Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
