Operations Manager

About the role

R1 is a leading provider of technology-driven revenue cycle management solutions that combine a global workforce of revenue cycle professionals with advanced analytics, AI, intelligent automation, and workflow orchestration to transform the patient experience and financial performance of hospitals, health systems, and medical groups. The Operations Manager in Hyderabad manages day-to-day operations, people management (work allocation, on-job support, feedback, team building), performance management (productivity, quality, one-on-ones, KRA, PIP), and internal/client performance reporting, while ensuring compliance with departmental and corporate policies. The role follows up on AR after denial management and cash posting, requiring CMS 1500 & UB04 AR experience, thorough knowledge of AR scenarios and denials, and expertise in Federal and Commercial payor mix, with a span of control of 80 to 100.

What you’ll do

• Establishes and assures compliance with departmental policies and procedures in conformance with corporate policies and procedures
• Manages day-to-day operations
• People Management including work allocation, on-job support, feedback, and team building
• Performance Management covering productivity, quality, one-on-one sessions, KRA, and PIP
• Prepares internal and client performance reports
• Develops work allocation strategy
• Follows up on AR after denial management and cash posting until payment is made by the insurance company

What you’ll bring

• Graduate in any discipline from a recognized educational institute
• CMS 1500 & UB04 AR experience is mandatory
• Thorough knowledge of all AR scenarios and Denials
• Expertise in both Federal and Commercial payor mix
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Capable of interacting with US clients and managing escalations
• Good analytical skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Span of control - 80 to 100
