About the role

Capgrid seeks a Senior Executive/Assistant Manager for Sourcing/Vendor Development of sheet metal components. The role involves managing the full sourcing cycle, developing vendors, and ensuring quality, cost, and delivery performance. Responsibilities include identifying new suppliers, negotiating contracts, monitoring supplier performance, and driving cost reduction initiatives. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in sourcing sheet metal components, strong negotiation skills, and a background in mechanical engineering. Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier experience is preferred.

What you’ll do

Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for sheet metal components
Manage the entire sourcing cycle from supplier identification to finalization
Ensure timely procurement and delivery aligned with project requirements
Monitor supplier performance for quality, cost, and delivery
Drive cost reduction, localization, and value engineering initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, quality, and operations
Maintain strong supplier relationships and compliance with company policies
Prepare and present sourcing performance reports

What you’ll bring

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in sourcing and vendor development for sheet metal components
Strong understanding of automotive sourcing processes and supplier management
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams

Nice to have
