About the role
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team at TechnoServe drives evidence‑based decision‑making for donor‑funded development projects in India. The Assistant Manager leads the design and implementation of MEL frameworks, oversees data collection, analysis, and reporting, and builds dashboards to track project performance. Mumbai, India, on-site (3 days onsite per week).
What you’ll do
- Design and lead MEL approaches and planning
- Develop and execute data capture and reporting plans for project indicators
- Manage documentation repository for project data systems
- Drive assessments, baseline and endline evaluations, and data quality checks
- Analyze evaluation findings and present insights to stakeholders
- Support development and deployment of MIS dashboards
- Provide technical assistance and training to program staff
- Review and improve monitoring reports
What you’ll bring
- Master’s degree in relevant field
- 5-7 years experience in social sciences research, data analytics or consulting
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and MS Office
- Experience with MEL frameworks (theory of change, logical framework)
- Design and programming of rigorous survey instruments
- Advanced analytical skills including multivariate analysis
- Field work experience with quantitative and qualitative research
- Strong written and oral communication
Education
Master’s degree in economics, statistics, public policy, development studies, management or related field
