About the role
Johnson Controls Building Automation team drives smart, sustainable building solutions. The Application Engineer II supports pre‑sales engineering for global BMS projects, preparing technical assessments, bill of materials, cost estimates and network architecture. Works from Pune, Maharashtra, India on-site, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.
What you’ll do
- Review project specifications and MEP drawings to capture scope
- Prepare technical assessments, BOMs, and cost estimates for bids
- Design BMS network architecture and select hardware/software components
- Participate in project kick‑off meetings and document technical queries
- Ensure quality assurance and on‑time delivery of deliverables
- Maintain timesheet compliance and project documentation
What you’ll bring
- BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics or Communication
- 5+ years BMS design engineering experience
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and BMS architecture
- Proficiency with BACnet, LON, Modbus, OPC protocols
- Experience in PLC programming/SCADA
- Ability to prepare bill of materials and cost estimates
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Leadership skills
