About the role
The Digital Assets Technology team at Franklin Templeton builds technology to represent shares in investment products with tokens on blockchain platforms, enabling 24/7 live trading. The team supports a mobile app for retail investors, a website for institutional investors, and an internal admin tool, while enhancing the platform with new products and features. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design microservice architectures, develop mobile and web applications, manage public APIs, and deliver mission-critical systems with technical leadership. The role is based in Singapore.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement microservice software architecture
- Develop mobile applications for large-scale public usage
- Build front-end interfaces using React, Flutter, and web components
- Manage public API versioning, governance, and lifecycle
- Provide technical leadership and coaching to the team
- Brainstorm and design solutions to complex software problems
- Engage with partners and internal stakeholders
- Design and execute unit, integration, profiling, and end-to-end testing
What you’ll bring
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience on mission-critical systems
- Practical experience with microservice software architecture
- Mobile application development for large-scale public usage
- Front-end frameworks such as React, Flutter, and web components
- Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Rust, Spring, Springboot
- Experience with Azure PaaS services (Cosmos, Service Bus, Functions, SQL Server) or AWS counterparts
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Zookeeper, Zuul, Eureka, Zipkin, Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, Argo
- Knowledge of public blockchain protocols such as Stellar, Ethereum, and Solana
Nice to have
- Relevant industry experience in investment management preferred
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Ability to adapt quickly to business changes
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Strong organization, planning, and time management skills
