Senior Analyst - Accounts Payable and Receivable

About the role

The Senior Analyst - Accounts Payable and Receivable role supports the Accounting and Cost Management team at Trafigura, based in Mumbai, India. Day-to-day work includes processing and paying invoices (including foreign currency remittances), raising and recording monthly sales invoices and receipts, monitoring creditor payment terms, and handling tax compliance such as TDS, GST, and TCS. The position also covers bank and debtor/creditor reconciliations, preparing monthly provisions and intercompany statements, and assisting with internal and statutory audits, including GST authority notices and portal clean-ups.

What you’ll do

• Process and pay invoices, including foreign currency remittances
• Raise and account monthly sales invoices and record receipts
• Monitor creditors' payment terms and prioritize processing accordingly
• Compute monthly TDS and GST liabilities, generate online TDS/GST challans and pay-outs
• Prepare monthly provisions, prepaid expense register, and intercompany balance statements
• Perform bank reconciliations and debtors & creditors reconciliations
• Assist in internal audit and statutory audits
• Analyze GST credit and RCM payments, reconcile with GSTR 2A, and coordinate with suppliers for corrective action

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 8 years' experience in accounts payables
• Graduate in Commerce/Economics with sound understanding of accounting practices and principles
• Good understanding of MS Excel is essential
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Team player with good verbal and written communication skills
• Fast learner comfortable operating in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment
• Flexible attitude and self-motivation
