About the role

Digital Workplace Experience (DWX) Automation & Analytics team at Amgen builds predictive models, forecasting tools, and dashboards that power global digital workplace services. The role develops, maintains, and optimizes ML models and data pipelines, partnering with product owners and engineers to embed data science outputs into business operations. Hyderabad, India – On-site.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain predictive models, decision support tools, and dashboards using Python, R, SQL, Power BI, or similar platforms
• Partner with delivery teams to embed data science outputs into business operations
• Build and automate data pipelines for ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and model training
• Monitor, maintain, and tune models for accuracy and sustained impact
• Support operationalization of ML models with data engineers and platform teams
• Conduct data exploration, hypothesis testing, and statistical analysis to identify optimization opportunities
• Provide ad hoc and recurring data-driven recommendations to improve automation performance
• Develop reusable components, templates, and frameworks for analytics scalability across DWX

What you’ll bring

• Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
• 5-9 years experience in data science or analytics
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R
• Advanced SQL with relational databases
• Experience with Databricks notebooks and Delta Lake
• Power BI or Tableau expertise
• Knowledge of MLOps tools (Airflow, SageMaker, Azure ML)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
