About the role

Cloud Management team within Autodesk Enterprise IT builds the Infrastructure Software Automation Platform that provides secure, scalable multi‑cloud infrastructure for Autodesk’s global engineering teams. As a Principal Software Development Engineer you will define the multi‑cloud architecture, set engineering standards, lead design reviews, and mentor engineers while architecting and building cloud account provisioning, Terraform modules, and AI‑assisted observability workflows. Bengaluru, India, on‑site role focusing on large‑scale distributed systems and cross‑team collaboration.

What you’ll do

• Define and evolve multi‑cloud architecture for the platform serving 100+ internal teams
• Establish engineering standards for serverless, microservices, automation, and observability
• Drive technical roadmap, scalability strategy, and modernization initiatives
• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers on system design and best practices
• Architect and build cloud account provisioning, governance, and lifecycle management solutions
• Design and implement Terraform module ecosystems across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Create event‑driven orchestration using cloud‑native messaging and workflow services
• Integrate AI‑assisted observability, anomaly detection, and predictive remediation

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years software development experience
• 5+ years senior or principal‑level roles
• Experience with at least two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong proficiency in Go and Python
• Advanced Terraform expertise
• Microservices, serverless, and event‑driven architecture experience
• Cloud security, identity, encryption, and compliance knowledge
• Observability at scale (metrics, logs, traces)
