About the role
Assistant Manager – Quality oversees tower section inspections, weld quality, and surface treatments using NDT. Leads material testing, metrology, and IPQC, monitors supplier compliance, maintains audit‑ready documentation, trains junior inspectors, and drives continuous improvement to meet ISO 10721 and IEC 61400‑23 standards.
What you’ll do
- Inspect tower sections, welds, and surface treatments using NDT
- Conduct chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical testing for material quality
- Oversee metrology, calibration, and dimensional control of components
- Implement IPQC and coordinate with machining teams for quality assurance
- Monitor supplier compliance and report quality issues for corrective action
- Maintain inspection records and ensure audit‑ready documentation
- Train junior inspectors on advanced inspection techniques
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve defects and improve quality
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects
What you’ll bring
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years inspecting tower sections and welds
- Proficiency in NDT methods and tower manufacturing standards
