Assistant Vice President, Collateral Management
About the role
State Street's Collateral Management team in Bangalore, India is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead strategic, operational, and people leadership for collateral management services transformation. The role blends senior business analysis and project management to modernize collateral operations, improve risk coverage through process optimization, technology enablement, and automation, and shape AI-enabled solutions across the end-to-end collateral lifecycle. You will own end-to-end service delivery, drive STP enablement within Colline, manage senior talent, and represent the function in senior client engagements and governance forums.
What you’ll do
- Own strategic project management initiative reporting and execution, keeping executive management informed on progress and presenting risk to programs as applicable
- Own end-to-end service delivery solutioning and testing for collateral operations across clients and/or regions, specifically for technology implementations, conversions, and enhancements
- Drive STP enablement and process optimization within Colline in partnership with Technology and vendors
- Enhance client and internal reporting using Colline, Access, SQL, and related platforms including AI-related tactical and strategic transformations
- Report, track, and drive implementation of automation solutions to reduce manual effort and operational risk
- Ensure robust controls, SOP adherence, and alignment with audit, regulatory, and risk frameworks related to change initiatives
- Own ICAMs, issue management, and root-cause remediation to prevent repeat incidents
- Act as senior escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders for all conversions and onboards, and lead transformation initiatives including platform migrations, workflow redesign, and operati
What you’ll bring
- 12+ years of relevant experience in Collateral, Middle Office, Investment Operations, or related domains
- Graduate degree or above, preferably in Finance or Technology (B.Com, BBM/BBA, MBA Finance, M.Com, or equivalent)
- Deep functional expertise in Collateral Management / Middle Office operations
- Proven leadership of large, multi-location teams in a regulated environment
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Macros, Colline, Tri-resolve, SQL, MS Access, and/or AI tools
- Demonstrated strong Project Management experience and Business Analysis portfolio
- Strong risk, control, and problem-solving mindset with ability to lead transformation, automation, and technology change
Nice to have
- NCFM / CISI certifications preferred
- Certifications on collateral platforms or automation tools are an advantage
