About the role

KLA, a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing technology, seeks a Senior Lead Cloud Platform Architect in Chennai. The role designs scalable, highly available cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP, leads migration and modernization initiatives, and partners with engineering teams to define cloud-native reference architectures. Responsibilities include optimizing performance, cost, and security; establishing governance frameworks; implementing IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep; evolving CI/CD pipelines; and driving FinOps and continuous innovation. The candidate must have 7+ years of cloud architecture experience, proficiency in at least one major cloud platform, deep knowledge of networking, security, containers, Kubernetes, serverless, microservices, governance, monitoring, and cost management. What you’ll do

Design scalable, highly available cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, GCP
Lead cloud migration, re-hosting, re-platforming, refactoring
Drive application and infrastructure modernization for scalability, performance
Partner with engineering to define cloud-native reference architectures
Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, reliability, cost
Establish and manage cloud security architectures, governance frameworks
Design and enforce security policies, IAM roles, least-privilege access
Design cloud networking: VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect
Configure network segmentation, micro-segmentation, zero-trust architecture
Implement IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep
Design and evolve CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, drive continuous innovation
Develop architecture diagrams, documentation, roadmaps, executive presentations
Manage cloud operating models: FinOps, tagging, governance, operational excellence

What you’ll bring
