Application Security Specialist

About the role

Technology team within Entain India focuses on securing the gaming platform and ensuring applications meet rigorous security standards. The Application Security Specialist works with development teams to conduct code reviews, penetration testing, and implement security architectures, while automating security tools across the software development lifecycle. Based in Hyderabad with an on-site work model, the role also involves training developers on secure coding practices and responding to security incidents.

What you’ll do

• Conduct comprehensive application security assessments and code reviews
• Design and implement security architectures including authentication and encryption
• Manage and optimize security testing tools like SAST, DAST, and WAFs
• Promote security awareness and provide training to development teams
• Enforce security policies and perform regular compliance audits
• Collaborate with product, IT operations, and project managers to integrate security into SDLC
• Identify and implement improvements to security controls and processes
• Respond to security incidents, investigate root causes, and apply corrective actions

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years in application security or similar information security role
• Strong software development background with Java, C/C++, .NET, Python
• Experience with SAST, DAST, WAF configuration and automation
• Knowledge of security standards such as ISO27001, PCI-DSS
• Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Proficient in security test management and requirements management
• Experience in Agile development environments
• Strong communication skills to educate and influence technical teams
